Hudson Valley Interior Designer
Salvick Studio is a full-service interior design studio based in Newburgh, New York, serving the Hudson Valley, Westchester, NYC, Long Island and surrounding areas. Led by designer Cher Vickers, the studio creates layered, collected interiors that honor the architecture and history of a home while making it work beautifully for modern life.
We approach each project with an appreciation for what already exists. In historic homes, that might mean preserving original millwork, embracing an imperfect old floor, or allowing the architecture to guide what comes next. In newer spaces, it means creating that same sense of character through natural materials, craftsmanship, antiques, pattern, color, and pieces that feel as though they have a story to tell.
We mix old with new, refinement with a little imperfection, and beauty with the realities of everyday life.

-
We take on a limited number of projects at a time so we can give each home the attention it deserves. If you’re considering working with us, we encourage you to inquire early. We’ll discuss your project, see whether we’re a good fit, and share our next available start date.
-
For decorating projects that include furniture, paint, lighting, and finishing touches, we suggest allowing 3–6 months from our agreed start date. Rooms with custom upholstery, window treatments, or pieces with longer lead times may take 6–9 months or more. A smaller refresh using available furnishings can move more quickly.
For projects involving construction, we suggest allowing 6–12 months or more for design, planning, and construction. The scope of work, permits, contractor availability, and material lead times all affect the schedule. Older homes can also bring surprises once work begins.
We’ll discuss your goals and timing during our initial conversations and develop a schedule around your project.
